Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, everyone! While things have been different in 2020, Halloween is still the same. Sort of. The kids still got to dress up in costumes. Gracie decided on Bat Girl.

And Augie picked Star Wars Rebel pilot. They got to dress up for school, like usual, yesterday, but they kept to their rooms. They didn't parade around to the other classrooms.

We figured trick-or-treating would be muted this year, so we decided to give Grace's Trunk or Treat a try this year. The first stop was this long PVC tube.

It had to be long because Spider-Man was distributing candy from the roof.

There were about a dozen cars in the parking lot sliding candy down halved PVC tubes.

Some of the candy-givers we even knew.

If there's a picture that summarizes Halloween in 2020, here it is. Two kids, by themselves, with their costumes on, wearing masks.

Or maybe it's this. There was no handing out candy to trick-or-treaters this year. There was just a candy bucket on the front porch. Actually, there was no handing out candy at all, because no one stopped at the house. More candy for me, I guess.
