Throwback Thursday: Young Gretchen
For this week's Throwback Thursday, we're going to look at some pictures of young Gretchen, like this one of her getting ready for the ball while eating an orange.
I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what's going on in these pictures, so I'm just going to keep guessing. In this one, I'm going to say she stuck her face in a bowl of Spaghettios to suck them up as fast as possible to get to her chocolate cake.
Here, young bonneted Gretchen pets a rose and names it Rosy. Kids usually go with the obvious choice when naming things, like white cats named Snowball and black labs named Blackie.
Now, young bonneted Gretchen is getting ready for her sumo fight against the lawn decorations. She won, but they put up a valiant fight.
Now, young bonneted Gretchen poses for a picture with young bonneted Lauren on Easter, probably, maybe not. It seems like she wore a lot of bonnets.
Now, young bonneted Gretchen's young bonneted sister can walk. I'm going to say they were on their way to an Easter egg hunt.
No bonnet in this one, just a hooded jacket and some stylish slickers while helping dad work on the tractor.
Sometimes his helpers needed wrangling for dinnertime.
Young Gretchen didn't like wrangling. She was a free spirit. That's when she called Grandma Westerhoven for backup.
