Happy Mother's Day
Another Mother's Day is nearly in the books. And we can't let it pass us by without a picture of mom with the kids. See, mom and kids.
She was easy this year. All she wanted was a zero-gravity chair for the deck. Is it too big for the deck? Yes. So I'm building a bigger deck. But more on that later.
Grandma wanted a chair, too. She bought it for me, though.
I just had to replace all the spindles, sand it and refinish it. Just a note to anyone thinking of fixing a spindle chair: they're a pain to take apart and put back together. You put one in, three more fall out. So it's a good thing it turned out so well.
We also helped grandma plant about 1,000 fire bushes along her driveway before it started raining. Grandma Westerhoven wanted plants, too, just not quite as many. Mom has to go over there and pot them later this week. We had some freezing temps the past couple of nights, so she held off on potting them.
