Throwback Thursday: Outdoor Spring Fun
This is normally the time of the year when the weather starts to warm up and everyone begins to venture outside to catch a little sunshine. That's not the case this year, but usually it is. Here I am with the sibs playing in our homemade sandbox in 1988. Based on the bucket I'm using, we used to buy sunblock in bulk.
I must have needed the bigger vessel after finding out the year before that diapers don't hold sand as well as buckets do.
And you know what's good for hauling around buckets of sand? A wagon.
We had more than just a sandbox and wagons to keep us busy. We also had a swing set and playhouse full of toys.
If you got those swings going fast enough, you could lift the legs of the set off the ground.
And if none of that was enough to keep us busy, there was always the bucket of chalk and the front steps.
