Artsy Fartsy Friday: Gracie the Pilgrim

Gracie's Take: First, we got a paper plate. Then, a brown piece of paper. Then, we cut the hair out. Then, we glued it onto the paper plate, but we had to make sure it was glued on all the way. Then, we cut out the eye balls. Then, we got a white piece of paper and it was pants. Then we grabbed a black piece of paper and it had three things on it: the other part of the eyes, the other part of the pants and the hat. So we glued the pants to the slanted square. Then, we glued the eyes on. Then, we put the mouth and nose on. That's it.

Dad's Take: As you all can see, this is a paper plate pilgrim. Gracie brought it home this week from school. It's actually not too bad, besides those beady eyes that will stare into your soul. I like the cute little nose and the wry smile. However, she couldn't quite find the words to describe the ribbon her pilgrim wore around his neck. Hers is shaped like pants, so I'll give her points for finding a way to describe it at least.
