Finally Back to School

It finally happened. After more than 5 months at home, mom and kids went back to school this morning. Now the first day was only half a day, but it felt important nonetheless.

Gracie, who was upstairs last year in the kindergarten room, has moved back downstairs to be in first grade with Mrs. Kubath.

Augie, meanwhile, has finally moved on from mom's room. He's now in the fifth and sixth grade room with Mr. Buch.

And to end the first day of school, families from the school made their annual trek to Dairy Queen for lunch. For those who missed the news, Grandma Steinke will be doing some teaching at the school this year, too. She'll be helping out in the seventh and eighth grade room.
