Gracie's First Day At Home

After a long time under the light, the doctor's decided Gracie's jaundice had subsided enough that she could come home yesterday afternoon around 5:30. She was super happy to get out of that hospital.

Grandpa Larry came over last night after she was home. He hadn't gotten to hold her at the hospital because there were so many people there on Thursday, so he got first dibs on her.

Augie wanted to get in on the picture, too.

The hospital was quick to turnaround Gracie's birth announcement. It was in the paper Saturday before Gracie even got home. I'll probably get one with a photo in The News-Dispatch, so she has one for her baby book like Augie.

Of course, Roscoe hasn't known what to do with the newest person in the house. Every time Gracie cries he gets out of his bed and sniffs her. Last night, he was whining downstairs in his kennel because he could hear her whining upstairs.

Gracie, Augie and I wore our Michigan gear today for the UM-MSU Big Ten Championship game. The outcome wasn't ideal, but we were styling. This is the same outfit Augie wore shortly after he came home from the hospital, but it doesn't look like I blogged that picture. Gretchen said the outfit needed a headband to girly it up a little.

Grandma and Grandpa Steinke came over to visit for a little bit this afternoon. Grandpa got to see Gracie for the first time. Then he took a nap. He'll need it, because Nate, Nora and Titus were due in town this afternoon.
