A Day in the Life

It's been a long time since I've done a "day in the life" post with Augie. And since Little Miss is due pretty soon, I thought I could do one before life got more complicated. What day is off to the right start without a chocolate muffin? Am I right?

It appears he was already in full party mode by the time I woke up.

Once we were all dressed, it was time to go to Meijer and buy some groceries. Roscoe wasn't invited. He was sad.

Augie is a true captain when it comes to shopping. He is great at pointing the way when mom starts slowing down.

But being a leader is tiring work. So Augie spent part of his time scoping out the goods with his periscope from inside the cart.

It was high time for lunch and nap when we got home. Mom might have helped Augie out in the napping department. She's really good at naps.

For snack, I spoiled Augie with some of my giant M&Ms. He didn't like the lid because it slowed down his M&Ms consumption.

He took his snack on the road ... literally. We went for a walk after nap. We even let Roscoe come along.

It was a very tiring walk around the block (twice!). Everyone needed to sit down and relax for a bit before supper.

Some of us who didn't even do any walking even needed to lay down for a spell.

But eventually it was time to start dinner. Did I mention it was a beautiful day?

The mercury soared past 50 degrees. All the way to 52 degrees.

But it was a little hard to enjoy (at least for some people) with 3-6 more inches of this stuff in the forecast for tomorrow night into Wednesday.

For dinner I grilled delicious lemon-pepper marinated chicken ... and kid food.

After dinner it was time for bath time with Jake and Neverland Pirates.

And what good is a clean body without clean teeth?

So there you have it. The exciting day in the life of a 4-year-old. Now go weep about how much you hate having to go to work tomorrow.
