Throwback Thursday: Dyeing Easter Eggs

Today, we're going to take a look back at years and years of Easter egg fun. Sometimes we dyed our eggs, and pulled them out of the dye with that thin metal egg holder you could barely keep your hands on.

Sometimes we didn't even get out of our footed pajamas before we started dyeing eggs.

Maybe I was the only one in the footed pajamas. Whatever.

Sometimes we pulled the eggs out of the dye with those plastic tongs they give you. You know the ones, they work right up until you get the egg out of the dye and then the egg slips out of the tongs and splashes dye all over the place.

Sometimes we grabbed the wax crayons and wrote secret messages on the eggs before we dyed them.

And sometimes we made our own dye and got unique, psychedelic Easter eggs ... maybe too psychedelic for some of us.

Sometimes we didn't dye eggs at all.

We used shrink wrap on our eggs. You remember the kind. You wrapped the plastic sleeve around the egg, then dipped the egg in hot water and watched the plastic shrink.

Happy Easter everyone.
