The First Snowfall

This look pretty much sums it up. The first accumulative snowfall of the season is generally pretty mild. An inch or two sitting on top of the grass. Not this year.

We woke up this morning to 9.5 inches on the patio.

And it was still coming down. It didn't stop until close to noon. For once, the doomsday meteorologists got it right when they predicted 8-12 inches of lake effect snow.

That 9.5 inches was probably a low spot. There was more than a foot on top of the cars.

And the flower boxes out back.

Thankfully mom and Augie had a snow day and could help me clean up. If only I had remembered to stick the driveway markers in the grass before it snowed.
