Artsy Fartsy Friday: The Tree of Many Colors

Gracie's Take:
First, we made the tree trunk and all the branches. Then we colored inside the tree trunk. Then we painted a lot of different colors. Then we writed our name. A few days later, we did this (sheet on the back). We wrote a lot of fall things. We did a tree because it was fall.

Dad's Take: Isn't it amazing how every kid's fall tree looks the same? They pull out all the fall colors -- the reds and oranges and yellows -- and they decorate their leaves. There's only one problem, most trees aren't actually like that. They are red or orange or yellow, but rarely all at the same time. It's like kid's Thanksgiving turkeys and their feathers of many colors. Who decides this is the way they're supposed to be? Yet that's how they are, generation after generation. It's a puzzler.
