Tonight, the Boy Pioneers tried something new: wood burning. We had a hole in the schedule of regular meeting activities, so we thought we'd live dangerously.
It actually was a practical meeting because we never had the boys sign the buddy benches. Instead, we let them burn their names or initials onto the bottom of the benches.
We were smart and kept it to just four wood burners -- two for practicing and two for using on the benches. When the boys weren't burning, we had them practicing how to tie knots. And then let them tie together some sticks. Next up: Pine car derby.
