Gracie's First Field Trip

If you've been following along, four years and one week ago today, Augie went on his first field trip, to Sarett Nature Center. Anyone want to guess where Gracie went for her first field trip today?

That's right! Sarett Nature Center. We got there early, so there was time to check out the creepy-crawlys before the presentation.

The gecko was too busy catching some rays to chat ...

... and the owl wasn't feeling very talkative.

Lucky for us, Eileen had a screech owl who was a little less stiff.

And he brought his friend Mr. Turtle with him.

And Lucille, too.

When we were done checking out the residents, we went outside for a nature walk. We checked out plants and trees and pine cones.

There was even a little time left to play on the outdoor playground before we left, not that Gracie enjoyed the intrusion.
