More Exciting News

This summer has been full of changes for the Steinke family. I am here today to announce another one.

Yesterday morning, Gretchen had a visit with the doctors over at South Shore Health Care to check out the status of our new baby.

The little bugger has been making her pretty sick (as you blog readers probably already knew), but the good news is she's just about through the first trimester, so she should start feeling better soon.

The nurse said the baby was measuring at about 11 weeks old, so his/her projected due date is around March 13.

If you are trying to figure out how to read the ultrasound picture, I'm told the baby's head is the large lump on the left with his/her body to the right. (Click on the picture for a larger view).

The first trimester is generally the riskiest for the baby. We aren't out of the woods yet, but we are optimistic that come March we'll have another little Steinke to call our own. Be sure to keep us in your prayers.
