It was scheduled to be a beautiful day today, so on Thursday I asked Augie if he wanted to go for a hike on Saturday. He was super excited and talked about it for days, so off we went.
I outfitted him with a hat to keep the sun out of his eyes, pants in case we came across any rough terrain and a backpack with a flashlight inside (in case we got lost).
I decided to take him out to Madeline Bertrand County Park near the state line because I had never been there before.
I have been borrowing grandma Steinke's GPS for another project I'm working on. I let Augie carry it around a little, so he could see what all the fuss was about.
But mostly he just wanted to go, go, go.
