What happens when Augie meets a Nate and a Nora?
Mom, dad and Augie made the nearly two-hour trip to Random Lake (the city not the actual lake) yesterday to see Aunt Jen, Uncle Luke and cousins Nate and Nora. Aunt Jen had to work until "1:30" but fun was had by all (except maybe Aunt Jen). As always, I had the camera at my side to catch all the fun...and funny faces.
Before we left, however, Augie had to decide what he wanted to wear. He eventually decided the fedora didn't go with his sports-themed outfit.
At first, the cousins were a little hesitant to play with Augie. Maybe they were afraid of his snot-covered face, or maybe they just wanted to drink their cups...
...but Augie won them over with toys, and all was good.
Augie was happy to have friends again. Oh, and a pile of toys.
Augie seemed a little confused why Nora was playing with his toy, but I'm sure Nora was thinking the same thing.
So he hopped on Nate's Harley and threw his worries to the wind...as the ladies checked him out. He didn't look quite as cool when he slid off the side and cut his lip. (Don't worry I rubbed some dirt on it and it was fine).
Since he couldn't be trusted on it by himself, I jumped on with him later. While taking our ride, we invented motorcycle polo. Who wouldn't watch motorcycle polo?
Gretchen enjoyed spending time with Nate and Nora.
The same couldn't be said for Uncle Luke when he had to spend time with Augie.
When Aunt Jen came home from work a couple hours late, we went for a walk to enjoy the cool, fall day. Nate said he would lead the way and ran ahead.
He didn't want to come back, though, so mom had to go and get him.
This picture is a little fuzzy, but that's because I was walking backward...and Gretchen was coming to run me over (note the angry face).
When we got back to the house, everyone did their own thing. Augie just loved that cookie jar thing he was playing with.
Augie isn't quite crawling yet, so we had Nora sit next to him and try to teach him how.
And apparently, in only one day, I taught Nate what a camera is for. As we were leaving he was using his camera to run around the room and take pictures of everyone.

I will join the motorcycle polo league, whenever you get that off the ground. Team name suggestions will be forthcoming.
