Andy and Augie's Day Of Fun

I finally had a day off where I wasn't working or driving to Michigan or going to a Brewers game. So I got to hang out with Augie. We had a lot to do today, so we'll start and the top and end with his first haircut.

It obviously isn't Christmas yet, but Family Dollar had this Augie-sized Santa hat on sale because they are going out of business. Gretchen and I were out looking for more totes so we could organize our storage locker. We decided to start at Family Dollar, but didn't find anything we could use. I did get this awesome picture, though, so it wasn't a total bust.

When we got home, Augie decided to 'Sauce for awhile. Today, he was doing this weird thing where he stuck out his bottom lip, so I got a picture for all of his fans.

He threw in this look free of charge. I'm not sure if he farted or thinks he's Popeye the Sailor Man, but this picture cracks me up.

After supper, it was time. We have been putting off the first haircut for awhile, mostly because we haven't had time, but tonight was the night.

We started with the evil black-handled scissors of death.

Augie seemed more interested in playing with the tote he was sitting on, though.

But then, he could sense something was coming.

One last look at the old Augie.

And then, as if out of thin air, there was mom, wielding the scissors and making the first cut.

Augie appeared more interested in his frog than mom cutting his hair.

This could've been the last picture of this post. Gretchen kept saying, "Put that camera down and hold Augie's head still so I can cut his hair."

He's starting to get that scared look on his face.

And that was before mom pulled out...dun dun dun...the CLIPPERS!

Save me dad.

Just trim the bottom, mom. Leave it long on top.

Augie couldn't hold still. He just wanted to see what that buzzing sound was behind his head.

And when mom made him hold still, he wasn't happy.

Here it is. The new 'do. Still Augie esque on top, but trimmed a little closer around the bottom.

Overall, not too much came off. But it counts. It was a haircut.

And there it is. Augie and Andy's Day of Fun. Maybe tomorrow will be just as much fun.
