Augie was sitting in his high chair next to mom and dad while they ate dinner and started crying, hoping one of us would pick him up so he could stick his fingers in our food. Instead, I took the table off his chair and pulled him closer to the table so he felt like part of the family. He stopped crying. Who knew? He only wanted to be included in the family dinner talk.
