Messy Marvin

Augie likes to feed himself. This isn't unusual for him, or any other kid his age for that matter. The problem is, he can't seem to keep the ants in his pants calm enough for long enough to sit and eat his meal. Now that he isn't in a high chair or booster seat anymore, he wriggles and squiggles, and twists and turns in his chair. This is actually a picture of him sitting somewhat favorably in his chair ... because he's still in it. His favorite position seems to be the one cheek: One butt cheek on the chair, the other one hanging off ready to run and find some toys. He doesn't usually get up to leave the table (thank goodness he's anal like me and doesn't like sticky fingers), but that means he makes a huge mess. Whatever falls off the table or out of his mouth and lands on his bib or lap usually ends up on the floor by the end of the meal because he wiggles so much. If only I had seat belts to attach to our chairs, we'd be golden.
