The Discovery Zone

This afternoon, we decided we were going to go mini golfing with the kids before spring break was over. We drove over to Hidden Pointe, and it wasn't open yet. What a shame. It was a nice sunny day, so we headed over to the Discovery Zone where Augie tried his hand at the water pistol.

There were quite a few water sports for the kids to play with.

There was a small climbing wall. The kids didn't want to try it, so mom showed it how it was done, backpack and all.

Then it was off to the lighthouse.

The play one, not the actual one. Augie scaled his way all the way to the top.

Gracie didn't want to climb. She wanted to play with the boats. She had the whole lake to herself.

I, meanwhile, was doing my best Han Solo impression. This thing actually worked pretty well. You could see the collar on my shirt and the sunglasses in my pocket.

Then I tried to make this parachute float, but the tube of air wasn't cooperating.

Augie tried out the talkie tube. Mom was on the other end with Gracie listening to him.

We got there only half an hour before the Discovery Zone closed, so we bought a few tickets to ride the carousel before we left, too. Augie thought it was pretty cool. Gracie clung to mom for dear life, so we don't have any pictures of her on the carousel.

There were some Legos set up around the carousel, too, so Augie made us check all those out before we left. I think my favorite was President Business from "The Lego Movie."
