It's Easter For Kids

It's the day before Easter, which means today was Easter For Kids day at St. Paul's. While many people come for the Easter egg hunt, I come for the songs with Mrs. Zak ... just kidding, I come for the candy, too.

But the kids don't mind the song and dance.

It's good cardio.

I got pretty excited when Pastor Ehlke said he was going to smash an egg on his head. The real kind, not the kind filled with jelly beans. I had my camera ready. And he smashed it on his head. And nothing came out. It was hollow. We were duped!

Then it was off to the gym for some art time. We made necklaces this year.

It was a warm, sunny day, so we headed outside and waited for the egg hunt to begin.

There were more than enough eggs to "find." And this was only a fraction of them.

Finally, it was time to start.

Augie made sure to look low and high for eggs. They were everywhere.

Augie had to move fast to fill his bag, though, there were lots of kids.

Gracie grabbed a couple of eggs and then apparently lost interest because she came over to Augie's section of the egg hunt to play on the playground before Augie was even done picking up eggs. Of course, she managed to eat most of the candy she did find on the way home.

Happy Easter For Kids, everyone.
