Grandpa Steinke came by today to help Augie do a few improvements around the house. But first, Augie had to make sure his drill was charged up and his safety glasses (OK, grandpa's safety glasses) were squarely in place.
Today's project list was fairly short (a fan for the living room, an extra outlet in the kitchen, and an outlet off the front porch), and we were prepared for whatever came our way.
It was a warm one, so Augie was ready to stay hydrated with his juice cup.
Here is the hole in our living room ceiling for our new fan. The stud finder was having problems finding the joists (it's its only job!), so grandpa did a little guess work and drilled a hole in our ceiling. I'll be damned if he didn't hit it dead center.
And there it is. The new fan. And not a day too soon. It sure does feel nice. Tomorrow, a fan for the bathroom.
