Farewell, Spot

Today, we said our goodbyes to Spot. Spot has been on Augie's wall since before we even moved into the house. And seeing as how he's now 9, Augie was ready for a new paint scheme.

And by new paint scheme, I mean more blue. Because you can't go wrong with blue, right?

Mom didn't feel like taping the room this time around -- she says she's a pro now -- so I put her on edger duty.

The kids I put on middle-of-the-wall-so-they-can't-get-paint-on-anything-that's-not-supposed-to-be-painted duty.

Alas, my plan did not work.

Bing, bang, boom, a full day later, and Augie had his newly painted room, complete with two new shelves and new curtain rods.

Farewell, Spot. It was fun while it lasted.
