Are You Ready For Some Baseball?
Because these two are. Augie's team was finally able to get their first practice in today. It was about 30 degrees with the wind chill, but the dirt was dry enough that the boys were able to take some grounders and make a few throws. Augie will be in the Rookie League again this year, but he'll be a second-year star for sure. I've already seen some improvement.
For anyone who wants to come see him play, here's this year's schedule:
- May 1, 7 p.m.
- May 3, 7 p.m.
- May 14, 5:30 p.m.
- May 15, 5:30 p.m.
- May 17, 7 p.m.
- May 21, 5:30 p.m.
- May 22, 5:30 p.m.
- May 29, 5:30 p.m.
- May 31, 7 p.m.
- June 5, 5:30 p.m.
- June 8, 5:30 p.m.
- June 11, 7 p.m.
I'm not sure of the reason for the big gap from May 3 to May 14, but I'm guessing it's to leave room for rain dates. (Although, this year it might be more like snow dates.) We'll have to get some practice in at home between those games.
The games will be at the same park as last year, and this year all the games will be on the same field. So if you want to see him play, just shoot me a message and I'll let you know the field letter.
