Augie's Spring Program
Yesterday afternoon, our little monkey had his spring program at St. Paul's. It involved the 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, and was all about animals. Augie was among the 3-year-old monkeys.
Mrs. Gano got the program started off right with this neon yellow and green hat and a frog puppet.
Then the program started. This was Augie's face and stance almost the whole time. He didn't really feel like participating. Either he had stage freight, he was tired (this was during nap time) or we've taught him how to stand still and be quiet too well.
Of course he had to check out what the kids were doing behind him.
After the 3-year-olds were done with their selection of songs, Mrs. Treder introduced the other students.
Augie's friend Hope (the one in purple and pink stripes) was there. She played a pretty good dog.
And chicken, too. Or was it a turkey? I don't remember. Let's just say poultry.
The program ended with all the kids singing together. You could see them all if I had chosen a better seat.
There were two things Augie did do during the program. He waved goodbye ...
... and he took his bow, because he knew there were cookies waiting for him when he was done.
