Augie Pictures of the Day, Oct. 29, 2010
Today's pictures of the day actually come from Tuesday night. The Internet's been down at the apartment, so I'm a little behind on getting things done online. If things don't turn around soon, there is the likelihood of (gasp!) fewer posts to the blog.
I put Augie on the floor to play for a while before bath time while mom was at her worship meeting. He was surrounded by his basket and all of the toys from the basket. Everything from the basket was on the floor except for one thing: Mom's old cell phone. So what does Augie go for? Mom's old cell phone. I pulled the battery out a couple of weeks ago so he could play with it. He thinks he's getting away with something because it looks like a real person phone, not a toy phone, but it's been decommissioned. Someday mom vows to come up with a baby line of toys that look like real people stuff (e.g. cell phones) because that's what kids want to play with anyway.
After he punched a few numbers, he put the phone up to his ear and pretended to talk.
When on one answered, he chewed them out.
-----------
Poll results: As most of you have probably seen, "cowboy" was the winner of the poll for Augie's first birthday party theme with 6 votes. We haven't made a decision yet on what the theme will be, but Gretchen has been leaning toward Sesame Street (which was second with 5 votes). The party will be on Saturday, Jan. 8, the day after his birthday, at the old St. Paul's Sodus school. Invitations will go out sometime in December. Drop us a note if you want to be invited.
Coming next week: Pictures of Augie in not one, but TWO different cowboy outfits. Stay posted.
