Meet August Graham Steinke

August Graham Steinke was born Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at 6:13 p.m. at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI. He was 9 pounds, 0.5 ounce and was 22 inches long.

But before we get to him, let's try to cheer Gretchen up. She doesn't look happy.

Before things got too crazy I took a pictures of the miles and miles of paper measuring Gretchen's contractions and baby's heart beat.

The nurse said Gretchen might want to eat before she really got into labor. She just HAD to say something about a McDonald's McGriddle. Guess who had to go and get it.

As you may have noticed, Gretchen took a little time this morning to throw up some Facebook statuses about what was going on.

Fast forward approximately six hours and the star is born.

Officially he weighed 9 lbs., 0.5 ounces, but when they put him on the scale a second time so I could get a picture he lost a little weight.

I didn't get to hold him first, but I got the first picture with him :-)

They let Gretchen hold him, too.

Look at her glow.

Victory meal. And a talk with the mom.

Snug as a bug in a rug.

Check out the cool hat they put on him. It was actually his second hat of the day.

Check out the wavy, brown hair. Gretchen says it looks like Grandpa Westerhoven's.
