Augie tried everything he could think of to cool off today. Even putting a bucket on his head. I'm told that helped somehow. (Gretchen says he was doing his own version of the Ice Bucket Challenge -- remember when that was a thing? -- and then wearing the bucket as a hat because he thought it was funny. He wasn't wrong.)
Meanwhile, when I got home from work tonight, Gracie wouldn't leave me alone. After she ate half my dinner, she came and sat in my lap on the chair. So I gave her a new hairdo. She didn't care. I think she might have even liked it. At least she acted like it. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but she sure knows how to push people's buttons.
