Throwback Thursday: Basketball Camp
Every summer, Michigan Lutheran holds a basketball camp for the area youths ... except this year, of course. So let's take a look back at a few scenes from past camps. Check out this bunch of ballers. I can identify quite a few guys I didn't know very well at the time, but ended up going to high school with.
There were always cones set up around the gym to start the camp so we could do dribbling drills.
And there was some free time to get a few 3-pointers in before things really got going. Check out that great green floor. (Hey, RJ!)
And when you were in the younger camps, they'd take off the rims on a couple of the side hoops and hang some lower ones to make it a little easier to score. I think they just did it so the high school volunteers could practice their dunks.
And don't forget those free purple-and-white balls. We'd get one every year, which was good, because I'd always wear them out in the dirt driveway between camps.
