Christmas Cookies Complete
While the cookie dough was made about two weeks ago, this weekend it was time to get those cutout cookies in form.
As you can see, the kids were happy to help out. Augie was just fast enough to run away before I could get his picture.
I was mostly just there to get in the way.
Until today. Today, I was called into service for frosting duty.
The kids were on sprinkles duty, which is why we emptied three jars of sprinkles ...
... andsome all of the cookies look something like this.
When this was about a third of the cookies we frosted, now you can see why we used up a few jars of sprinkles. We actually had to use the sentence, "They are sprinkles, not dumps," to try and conserve toppings.
I think Gracie might have been eating some of the sprinkles as she was going.
But we let her have a cookie anyway.
And Augie, too.
Until next Christmas cookie season ...
