Artsy Fartsy Friday: Happy Thanksgiving

Gracie's Take: For the hat, I made the eyes out of stickers. And then we did the beak and the wattle, and we made a big circle and we colored and we glued the head on. And we glued these legs on. For the turkey, these are the eyes, made of plastic. Then we glued the beak and the wattle on and the head. Then glued all that stuff on. We made one at school and one at Sunday school.

Dad's Take: I know it's a day late, and I was going to do a special Artsy Fartsy Thursday edition for Thanksgiving, but Gracie wasn't feeling well yesterday. So here we are today with our regularly scheduled Artsy Fartsy Friday. Gracie has been busy making all things Thanksgiving lately. Her papier-mache turkey turned out pretty nice. The eyes are above the beak and the wattle, so that's a win. And her turkey hat is very colorful, just like everything else she makes. If only there were multi-colored turkeys wandering around, this world would be a more colorful place.
