Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, everyone! This year, we had a two-day Halloween celebration, because the only thing better than one day of candy is two. We started yesterday at grandma's house by decorating some foam pumpkins with scary faces.

Grandma wanted to see the kids in their Halloween outfits, so we brought those along with us. Gracie finally fits into the tiger outfit Augie wore when he was nearly 2. And Augie was an astronaut.

Augie and I also tackled the pumpkin yesterday.

I made Augie pull out most of the guts. He thought it was kind of gross.

He tried to convince mom to cook up the seeds for us, but she was having none of it.

This is the design we were going to go with for our jack 'o lantern, but then I realized I have no artistic skills and I couldn't do it.

So we went with a face that looked like Augie's. I think we were spot on.

And then there was tonight. Augie reprised his role as astronaut. He had to show me how astronauts float through space before we went trick-or-treating.

Grace got her tiger suit back on and had a tough time seeing where she was going.

Cousin Ryan came over to go door-to-door with us. He was one of the Paw Patrol pups.

The neighborhood had a lot more houses handing out candy this year. Much better than last year when we went out in a downpour and got almost nothing. Gracie cracked into her sucker stash pretty quickly. She didn't have time to take no picture.

Ryan was sure to go and hide with his sucker.
