Augie the Ring Bearer
Yesterday afternoon, Augie was in his first wedding. No, he wasn't the one getting married. He was everybody's favoritest, cutest, funniest ring bearer at Karah and Rob's wedding. Mom was also in the wedding -- as cousin Karah's matron of honor -- but we'll focus on Augie since this is his blog ... and because I was hanging with him more than Gretchen.
Before the ceremony started, we hadto be there early for pictures. Augie had some free time for his cup, though, before he was asked to smile.
He took a few photos, and then made sure he gave Rob a little bit of advice before the ceremony. Rob thought it was a hoot.
And then it was time to wait. Is it time for the wedding to start yet?
No, really, is it time yet?
And before you know it, the wedding was over. There's mom, making sure everyone signs the papers correctly. Augie walked down the aisle like a good little boy, and didn't even lose the rings. By rings I mean the Lightning McQueen car and the fruit snacks in his ring bearer box.
Before Augie had to get more pictures taken, he took a picture for me with grandma.
And there's Augie with his box, standing with the wedding party.
Here's a little closer shot of Augie with the flower girls. He was particularly smitten with the smaller of the two.
He had a great time holding her hand and dancing with her at the reception.
And mom was happy he found someone else to play with.
The whole Westerhoven clan made it to the wedding. (I was there, too). And for those of them that didn't have cameras with them, here are a few more pictures they may enjoy:
